Bay Audiology – Funding and Finance Options

Hearing aid prices can put many people off. It’s tempting to think ‘I just can’t afford it, I’ll put up with my hearing loss for now.’ It doesn’t have to be that way, because in many instances, the government’s hearing aid entitlements or your health insurance will provide you with hearing tests or hearing aids funding.

SuperGold Card

A new SuperGold Card scheme for seniors and veterans, initiated by the New Zealand Government, is in place. New Zealanders who hold a SuperGold Card are eligible for $500 funding for one hearing aid, and a $1000 hearing aid entitlement for a pair of hearing aids.

ACC

ACC may cover some hearing loss treatment and hearing aids for people who have damaged their hearing in the workplace or through accident or injury. Find out more here

Veteran’s pension

Finance options

We can advise you on applying for a Q Card or Farmers Finance Card which can offer anything from 55 days to 12 months interest free payments. You can also visit their websites (www.qcard.co.nz and www.farmersfinancecard.co.nz) to find out more.
